A California pastor and his wife prayed over an unconscious
young boy who had been hit by a truck, and say they witnessed a miracle as God
brought him back to life.
Breaking Christian News reports that Pastor Eric Angeles and
his wife, Ruth, live in Norwalk, California where Eric is the leader of New
Hope International Christian Center.
Angeles says he was at home with his wife when they heard a
loud noise and rushed outside to find a boy hit by a pick-up truck.
"The boy was motionless," Eric told CBN News.
Ruth rushed over to the boy who was surrounded by his
distraught parents.
"I was asking, 'Lord give this boy life, give back the
boy his life' and I was praying, 'In the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus,
wake up, wake up,' and then like a couple of minutes, nothing happened... and
then I heard the Spirit telling me, 'Call his name, call his name," she
said.
Ruth asked the boy’s name from his sister who was also
nearby.
“Leonel,” the girl replied, so Ruth began calling out to
him.
"So I was calling out, 'Leonel!' I said, 'Leonel can
you hear my voice... Leonel if you can hear my voice call on the name of Jesus,
Jesus can heal you,' and then I was praying for that, crying out," Ruth
said.
Eric, meanwhile, was praying with the boy’s father, telling
him to call on the name of Jesus.
As the couple continued to pray, the boy miraculously opened
his eyes and blinked.
"When his eyes blinked once, I know there's life
already there, God already answered our prayers... the people around me were
not Christians at all but then I told them you know his eyes blinked, I know
he's alive,” Ruth shared.
Because Leonel suffered multiple injuries from the accident,
including a fractured skull and spine, blood clots, and a dislocated shoulder
and collarbone, doctors say it is a miracle he survived.
