Texas Prayer Garden is the Setting of Many Miraculous Encounters with God


A Texas prayer garden with a massive cross statue has reportedly been instrumental in drawing many to Christ.

CBNNews.com reports that the “Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden” in the hill country of  Kerrville, Texas, is the brainchild of Max Greiner, who also is a scultpor of statues for the garden.

“We’ve built this garden as a place where people can connect with God without having to go through a bunch of religion,” states Greiner who also said God first gave him the vision for the garden in 2002.

A giant cross is the main sculpture in the garden. It is made of CorTen steel and stands 77 feet tall and weighs approximately 70 tons.

CREATOR OF FAKE WEBSITE SELLING PRAYERS WAS FORCED TO PAY BACK OVER $7 MILLION TO CUSTOMERS

Creator of Fake Website Selling Prayers was Forced to Pay Back over $7 Million to Customers


The creator of a fake prayer website, which sold prayers to customers for payment, has been forced to pay restitution of up to $7.5 million to customers he swindled.

Christian Today reports that Benjamin Rogovy, from Seattle, created the for-profit company Christian Prayer Center (CPC) which sold prayers to 125,000 customers for $9-$35 per prayer.


Rogovy created a fake pastor named John Carlson who allegedly ran the website. Rogovy even created a LinkedIn profile for Carlson, describing him as “Senior Pastor, Christian Prayer Center, January 2009-present.”

Rogovy also used the name Eric Johnston as a supposed leader of the company.

Gay Rights Groups Urge NCAA to Punish Christian Schools Who Discriminate against LGBT Students


A number of lesbian, gay, and transgender groups have sent a letter to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), urging the Association to disassociate with all colleges that have gotten, or are in the process of getting, exceptions to Title IX.


InsideHigherEd.com reports that the letter was sent by more than 80 LGBT organizations, and urged the NCAA to “divest from all religious based instititions” that specifically discriminate against transgender students.


Title IX, as put into effect in 1972, prohibits gender discrimination on college campuses. In 2014, the

JERRY FALWELL, JR. COMPARES TRUMP TO KING DAVID

Liberty University Chancellor Jerry Falwell, Jr. has compared Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump to Israel’s King David.

The Christian Post reports that Falwell made the comparison while being interviewed for an article published in the student-run Liberty Champion.

In the interview, Falwell explains that he became friends with Trump in 2012 after the first time Trump spoke at Liberty. He added that he and his family joined Trump on the campaign trail during the Iowa caucuses.

Falwell said Trump showed them around and served them while they were with him.

MOTHER TERESA TO BE MADE A SAINT

The Vatican will likely approve a sainthood designation for Mother Teresa of Calcutta, Yahoo News reports.

The decision has been long-anticipated, and it is expected that Pope Francis will sign a decree approving her canonization and set a date for the official event.

A previously-scheduled ceremony to honor Mother Teresa has been set for September 5, so it is thought that the canonization will take place the day before.

Thousands of Christians are secretly worshiping in Iran as part of a house church movement in the country.

The Iranian government considers Christianity a threat to Islam. However, Open Doors USA estimates that as many as 450,000 Christians are in Iran. Others estimate there are more than 1 million practicing Christians in the country.

According to the Christian Post, a London-based theological center is training Christian leaders in Iran.
